Delightful; my favorite bookstore in India (the oddly-named Bubbles, in Madras) is like that; admits of one customer at a time, as two cannot pass in the narrow aisles, and in fact it's rather better to let the proprietress know what one wants and have her fetch potential books -- rather than risk an avalanche oneself!
The young women are correct...the place IS creepy. No wonder the manager didn't want the place videotaped...I'd be ashamed if I worked in a store like that. Piles of junbled books are not "charming" if you really care about books!
